the road is "home"

Updated: Jun 5, 2023

i came into this trip not really knowing what to expect. but i didn’t plan on having all of the emotions that i had. i knew traveling alone would feel lonely. weird. and awkward at times. but i didn’t expect to love it so much.

i’ve always said that i feel the most at home when i'm not at “home.”

and i’ve never felt so much at home being on my own, on the road.

now i wasn’t lonely the entire time. but a lot of it, i was.

my thoughts were clearer... that’s all i had. i didn’t have anything to distract myself with. wifi didn’t even work almost more than half of the time. i didn’t have things at home i could distract myself with; like random errands or to do lists. and i didn’t feel the need to call people just to talk. it was just me and my thoughts.

i loved it. i was out of my comfort zone. i was in all different towns not knowing a single person. and yet i felt most comfortable.

when i said i could think clearer, this is what i mean… any thought that i had, i couldn’t just brush it off, i had to sit there and resonate with that thought. it was only me. and sometimes when you ask yourself questions, you have to really sit there and wonder where this question came from and why you were asking yourself it, or coming up with in the first place.

because if no one else is there to talk to you, those are the times when you should talk deeper with yourself.

and not just find something to distract yourself with.

and then you might realize just how fun it is to talk with yourself. and then your mind might become more free. and in there your ideas become so much bigger.

your world becomes so much bigger.

Hi, thanks for dropping by!

...if there’s anything yoga has taught me, it’s how happy you can create your life to be, and just how beautiful life is.
